Maybe your computer is extremely low on storage space.

What exactly happens when you click File -> Save, and what did you expect to happen?

^ It would help to know what exactly happens.

Also “Uninstalled and reinstalled Krita” Uninstalling Krita doesn’t really reset the program:

The appdata is usually found in c:Users\YourUserName\AppData however, the AppData folder is hidden by default so you might have to go to view options in your file browser and check “hidden items”
Please try actual clean reinstall!

It might be this issue: sometimes a windows update changes these settings. See https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html#windows-krita-cannot-save
If the message is “File not found. Check the file name and try again.”, you probably have Controlled Folder Access enabled.

  • Select Start > Settings .
  • Choose Update & security > Windows Defender.
  • Select Open Windows Defender Security Center.
  • Select Virus & threat protection, and then choose Virus & threat protection settings.
  • Under Controlled folder access, turn it on or off.

You can also whitelist Krita, following these instructions.
