Touch painting not working? (Ubuntu, Dell Inspirion)

Category: QuestionsTouch painting not working? (Ubuntu, Dell Inspirion)

Hello, touch painting isn’t working. I can draw with a mouse, however. The touch screen is responsive in every other program. I have a hand-me-down Dell Inspirion, unsure of the model number or where to find it. I tried messing around with a lot of the settings to see if it was a memory issue or such with no change.

Go to settings → configure Krita → general → tools and there toggle ‘enable touch painting‘.

Hi, OP here. I reread my post and — oops! Forgot to mention that I do have the setting enabled and it does not work regardless.

Check if the tablet tester works? It’s in Settings→ configure Krita → Tablet settings. It should show some debug output.

Yes, the tablet tester works. I find that I can select anything in Krita with touch, the actual canvas is the only unresponsive area.
