I am quite interested in buying a wacom cintiq pro.
but does it work in krita?

Yes, it works no matter which operating system you use — Windows, Linux or macOS. Note however, that on Windows you will likely run into regularly reoccurring problems with the tablet driver settings necessitating resetting the driver’s settings regularly. Happens to me about once a month; this is not a bug in Krita, just something broken in Wacom’s drivers.

Then there are driver updates that break everything, not just for Krita, but randomly for other applications as well.

Then there are problems with multi-monitor setups that take fiddling to fix.

In general, weirdly enough and maybe surprisingly, Wacom tablets tend to work best, with the least amount of fuss on Linux.

Wacom Cintiq 16 is working wonderfully with krita  for my daughter.so you don’t need to worry about it .I’ve had the XP-Pen Artist 22E Pro  22″ IPS Pen Display Tablet for 1.5 years , no problems with it at all. Simple to use. You can get extra screen protectors and 2 pens are included already. Pen only needs charging monthly via USB.I can recommend the Artist 22E Pro . it seen and pressure sensitivity fine. https://www.xp-pen.com/product/63.html

XP-Pen tablets drivers are not very good though… It’s better to buy Huion, except for when you want to draw on Mac.
